Hello. My name is Jerry.
For the second time in a year we are faced with being forced to move suddenly, with very little notice, out of a rental house because the owners each decided that they needed to force us out so they could sell the house.
I expended nearly all of my limited resources to get us moved out of the previous house quickly and get us moved our current rental house.
This time the situation is far more dire. I became unemployed a few months ago and in the hope of finding the right kind of position (remote with some reasonable flexibility in my hours) within my field, I spent the last of my resources to pay the rent and bills for a few months while I prepared and began my job search.
Those resources are now gone.
Right at the end of that 'buffer period,' the owners of our current rental house informed us that we needed to move out ASAP so they could sell the house. Basically, the same awful situation as 10 months ago.
It is likely that - unless we get some help very quickly - be evicted soon with no prospects on getting into a new rental house. Unlike the first time, my resources are depleted. Every possible source of help for emergency housing assistance we have contacted tells us their funds are already spent. Much to my frustration, I have been unable to get hired into a new job. I am still trying. But we need to get a new place now.
So we are asking, begging, for help to save our foster family from homelessness and the possibility of a resulting complete disaster for these four little girls.
If reading this is not enough to make a decision, then I hope you will take a few minutes to go to the gallery and take a look at the pictures, watch the videos, and see in them that we are doing well for these kids. Then, in seeing that fact - it affirms that you want to help and also spread word to others who may wish to help.
If you do want to help - please act quickly.
Thank you.

After trying to help out a homeless family, 'The Twinlings,' Jenny and Stevie, were abandoned in our care. We let DHS know and they were placed with us temporarily due to our connection to their mother. We had to go through all the processes, background checks, classes, and such to become an official foster home and keep them with us. Eventually the twins were moved to permanent legal guardianship - which cut off all financial subsidy (of course). I was happy to support them, as back then I (Jerry) had a great local job.
Then, the twins' mother had another baby which was also taken into state care. DHS approached us and we were asked if we wanted to keep the girls together. Of course we did. And Dawn joined our little foster family. We are at the very last step to adopt her.
Finally, most recently, we were approached again (a year and two days after Dawn was born), regarding the girls' newest baby sister. Again we said yes. Thus, little Freyja joined our family.
We love these kids. In each case we are or have become the only parents they have ever known.
All we have ever wanted was for them was to have an engaged, loving, supportive family around them. For them to have every opportunity to grow up into strong, capable, happy people with a normal prospect of earning and enjoying a fulfilling life.
